We remember that adults need play and fun, too, and enjoying our time together in community is what it's all about.

We take the space in conversations and community that we each deserve, and we ensure that we make space for everyone to participate and shine.

We honour each person's agency and right to make the choices that are right for them, and to fully express themselves.

We understand that it takes courage to try new things and be vulnerable, and we are gentle with the vulnerability of ourselves and others.

We know that what may be true for one may not be so for another, and we believe that all experiences are valid.

We co-create a culture of exuberant support for each other and celebrate all of our triumphs, big and small.

We call each other in with compassion to learn within our community when harm occurs, rather than calling each other out with judgement.

We acknowledge our privileges, and we pay attention to power dynamics to ensure we uplift those who are systemically excluded.

We get curious and creative as we explore what may be possible for not only our wellbeing but also our ways of being with and learning about each other

We share gratitude for each other, the time we spend together and the support we receive from one another.

All LEVÄTÄ facilitators, guests and participants are expected to follow our community agreements. This is a living document, meaning these agreements will change over time in response to community needs and our collective knowledge and growth. Participants in class/workshop series and other longer-term programs will have the opportunity to refine and add to the agreements through collaborative discussion.

Honest missteps taken while trying to honour these agreements will not result in removal from a class or program. Mistakes happen; when they do, what matters is that we acknowledge harm, we listen and strive to understand the impact of the harm we've caused and we seek to do better as we move forward. However, participants who are unwilling to do this work to care for our community will be asked to leave.

I often use the metaphor of a forest to describe a community. We may each have our own thing going -

our own unique qualities, our own growth, our own path to our own light - but we are strengthened by those around us and we have the beautiful opportunity (and responsibility) to strengthen others in return.
